Touchdown Treats!

How cute are these, seriously? They are so easy to make too, and they are so delicious. You can make these a couple ways. To get the brown color, you can obviously use Cocoa Krispies cereal. I don’t personally like the taste of these. The regular Rice Krispies cereal is so good, but you want that color right? Well you can either just do the general krispies color, and then frost in brown OR, just add some chocolate to the mix! That’s what I do. Try it out… everyone will think you’re the next Martha.

  • 6 cups of Rice Krispie cereal
  • 1 package of marshmallows
  • 1 package of semi sweet chocolate
  • 3 tbsp of butter
  • Small frosting tube

Start by cutting up 3 tbsp of butter.

Melt the the butter in a saucepan.

When the butter has melted, add the chocolate morsels.

Keep stirring to melt these.

Next add in the marshmallows. Using mini marshmallows makes it easier to melt, but if you use the large kind, just add a few at a time.

Make sure all the marshmallows have melted and have been all incorporated with the chocolate.

Now you are ready to add the cereal.

This is going to take some arm strength. Mix it up really good, and get all the chocolate and marshmallow coating on them.

You’re going to need to work quickly here. Take about a ¼ cup of the mix once its cooled only slightly so you don’t burn yourself and shape into a football. Think of shaping them like a pair of lips. Do not press the mix together too tight, otherwise they are going to dry really hard!

Let your footballs cool completely.

Now you’re going to add the laces—this completes the look! Add one long lace down the middle and then two short ones across that. See picture.

Get ready to toss these ones down! Touchdown!

P.S. I entered my dessert in a contest on iheartfaces! Love them!! Check out the other desserts!!
